GarageBand for Windows
This year, all that has changed. One program in particular has met the GarageBand for Windows challenge head-on: Mixcraft. Use it once and you are sold. Here at the GarageDoor we thought GarageBand would always be the undisputed leader of nearly-free recording software packages, but now even we have our doubts. This Windows program is a gem.

There are free programs if you really don't want to spend the $79 it costs to buy Mixcraft. Just be warned that none of these give you that beautiful "real recording studio mixing desk" feeling you get when sitting in front of Mixcraft. Or the features. Or the speed. Or the ease of use. Sometimes, forking out a few dollars pays itself back handsomely in time saved and frustration avoided. Mixcraft deserves the acronym "GarageBand for Windows" and costs exactly the same as GarageBand: $79. (although Apple throws in other components in its iLife suite). Convinced? Buy Mixcraft now! |
